The Irish Greyhound Board and the Irish Retired Greyhound Trust would like to thank all those who attended the Retired Greyhound Show at Clonmel on Sunday 22nd March. Owners travelled from near and far to showcase their retired greyhound and the effort made by all is greatly appreciated by the organisers. Glorious weather on the day ensured there was a large entry and all of the Owners and their families, and of course the greyhounds, enjoyed the occasion. There were a total of thirty five retired greyhounds on show on the day and each and every one of the greyhounds on show behaved themselves impeccably. The organisers of the event would also like to thank GAIN Pet Foods and Mr. Willie Rigney for providing a bag of greyhound food to the owners of all of the entrants. Also, a special word of thanks to Ms. Ann Fallon who proved to be an excellent Judge on the day, to Ms. Yvonne Harrington for the magnificent photographs which she took on the day and to the Davern Family, Clonmel for granting permission to hold the event at their Equestrian Centre on the outskirts of Clonmel . The IGB, Irish Retired Greyhound Trust along with sponsors GAIN Pet Foods will, over the coming months, be organising further Retired Greyhound Shows in the East, West and North of the country and all events will be advertised on IGB website and at all greyhound stadia.
