Do you have a retired greyhound who:
1. Interacts well with people?
2. Is gentle?
3. Is well behaved?
4. Has a nice personality?
5. Works well with its handler?
6. Does not jump up?
7. Does not bark?
8. Is not uneasy?
9. Does not sleep all the time?
If the answer is “Yes” to all of these questions then your greyhound appears to have all of the requirements to suggest that he/she would make an excellent Therapy Dog.
For further information on how your greyhound can become a Therapy Dog please visit www.irishtherapydogs.ie
An Application Form with Garda Vetting Form can be downloaded from the Irish Therapy Dogs website and completed Forms can be returned to Irish Therapy Dogs
Irish Therapy Dogs will then contact the owner to arrange an Interview with the owner and an Assessment of the owner and their dog
