A HAT-TRICK IN FEATURE FINAL FOR ARCH WHISPERER

Barry Drake

A Curraheen Park sales purchase back in March, ARCH WHISPERER (King Sheeran-Blastoff Kat) completed a hat-trick of straight wins in the feature final at Kilcohan Park on Saturday night, the €1,300 to the winner Carrigoon Kennels A3 Stake.
Owned in Cork by the Home-By-Ten-Syndicate, and in the care of Maguerite Grassick, the well-backed 4-6 favourite delivered another fantastic winning performance from trap two. Showing a lovely turn of foot to lead along the inside of the track early, the writing was on the wall as he flew around the opening turns in front.
Opening up on the back straight, the talented performer pulled right away, and punters who took the short odds never had a moment's worry. A fifth career success for the June '24 whelp and a 28.70 career best from the in-form tracker. At the line, he was four lengths clear of the fast-finishing Almighty Pete.
