Just under a year ago, Magical Luka made a stunning debut at Dundalk before going on to establish himself as one of the very fastest in Ireland the UK.
On Saturday night, two of his half brothers began their career in brilliant fashion over the same 400yd trip at Dundalk and it seems safe to suggest Magical Jason and Magical Marty could develop into superstars in the coming months.
Indeed, they are from a talented litter as an hour down the road at Shelbourne Park, their litter sister Lennies Ash was winning her heat in the Sporting Press Oaks in a rapid 28.33.
JASON LOOKS VERY SPECIAL
The pair were in action in the semi-finals of an ON1 400 and to say they impressed would be something of an understatement.
Magical Jason was first into action and it was clear the son of Ballymac Cashout and Magical Mary knew his job. Showing exceptional pace, he assumed control into the bend before easing on to win by six and a quarter lengths from Highview Cert in 20.84. It was and incredible run from the youngster and one that will put him on most people’s radar.
MARTY WITH MORE MAGIC
Fifteen minutes later it was the turn of his brother Magical Marty to set tongues wagging. Although not going as fast, the September ’24 whelp was in charge from the early yards. Dryland Viper ran a big race in second but Magical Marty eased to a three and a quarter length success in 21.05.
MARY IS SOME BROOD
Indeed, both Magical Jason and Magical Marty look exceptional, further enhancing the incredible reputation of their dam Magical Mary.
In just two litters she has thrown Magical Luka, Magical Major, Coloursaregreen, Lennies Ash and the two aforementioned youngsters. That is some strike rate.
