What do Fishers Island, Lightfoot Vine, Lightfoot Perry and Please Molly have in common. The answer is they are trained by Anthony Hamilton and all four scored at Mullingar on Friday afternoon.
Fishers Island got the ball rolling, winning the A5 fourth race in 29.90 before Lightfoot Vine came through to win the A4 sixth race in 29.85. By the time Lightfoot Perry took her place in the A7 seventh race, punters had taken notice and she was returned the 13-8 favourite before emerging a comfortable winner in 30.37.
The four-timer came in the very next race with Please Molly leading early to contain the big finish of Bogross Pronto in 30.20.
We don’t know if Anthony did an accumulator but rumour has it the local bookies had to send for extra cash reserves with the four-timer paying a combined 325-1. Well done to the man himself and I think it’s safe to say the grandkids will be getting nice presents this Christmas.
