ROMEO TAYLOR went quickest on the clock in the semi-finals of the Greyhound & Petworld Supersprint at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.
Trained by Graham Holland for owner David Firmager, the May youngster came away racing and he displayed bundles of speed up front. Slipping around the opening corners in front, the 5-1 winner kept on strongly to the winning line as he beat the fast-finishing Hopes Hurricane, by two lengths, in 17.43. A length back to Burgess Jack in third place.
POWERFUL PERFORMER
In the opening heat, Road Exile justified short price favoritism when winning for trainer Pat Buckley and owner R.A.Colwell.

The 4-6 favourite produced a decent start and the powerful performer was in an early battle with Droopys Zelda. Strongest in the second half of the contest, Road Exile pulled away for a two-and-a-half length success, in 17.56. Niosfearrnabolt was a length back in third place.
DILLION QUIRKE FOUNDATION MINI OPEN 525
Rebel Ocean bounced back to winning ways in the A0, the Dillion Quirke Foundation Mini Open 525.
Trained by Kieran Lynch for owner Vincent O'Keefe, the 6-4 joint favourite displayed plenty of early pace to slip around in front and he kept on well late on, beating Footfield Peach, by two and a half lengths, in 28.66.
ELSEWHERE ON THE CARD
Kirkcaldy Kid made it two wins from as many starts in the third, an S4 sprint. Showing plenty of improvement in the clock, the Denis Fitzgerald trained runner clocked 17.86 for owners Kai Fitzgerald and Patrick Ahern, at odds of 5-4.
In the sixth, an A2, Millridge Jayden made all the running for Donal O'Mahony. The 5-4 favourite was always in control to win, in 28.87.
Racing concluded with a win for Butterbridge Roy for trainer Kieran Lynch and owner Mark O'Shea. The 5-4 favourite returned to winning ways with a likable 28.83 winning run, at odds of 5-4. (A1).
