A GOOD WEEKEND FOR MIDDLE AND WIDES – DERBY SECOND ROUND DETAILS

It was late into the evening when the second-round draw for the Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby was completed.
The make-up of the second-round field is very different to the opening round with the majority of the seeded runners making it through.
22 of the original 26 wide seeds progressed while 15 of the 22 middle seeds progressed. Add to the to those carrying an ‘M’, the seeding change of Clona Blu and it means the percentage of seeded runners has greatly increased.
In all, a total of 46 inside seeds crashed out of the competition. As you would expect there are some really mouth-watering clashes in the second round. We will have a better look at the draw tomorrow morning but for the moment, you can study the form at the following links:
