ETIENNE EASILY FASTEST IN PUBLIC HOUSE UNRACED AT ENNISCORTHY

Named after a running back in the NFL, Jaytee Etienne ran to a clear victory in the second round of the Public House Unraced at Enniscorthy on Monday evening.

The Paul Hennessy trained son of Jaytee Taylor and former Lee Strand winner Cornerhouse Lady set the standard with a 29.23 return.

Third into the opening turn after a moderate start, he improved to go second before halfway before running down the long-time pace-setter Elite Harry on the run in. John Turner’s Jaytee Etienne came through to win by two lengths. Elite Harry was second with Indian Kitty finishing a length and a half further back in third.  

YAYA HOLDS BIG FINISH OF BALL

Next fastest was Mairead Corcoran’s One Yayalady (Grangeview Ten/ One Yaya) as she dominated in the final heat.

Trimmer Ball came from a mile back to grab second but One Yayalady took the honours by a length in 29.54. De Dorver was just three parts of a length away in third.

BONNER SKIPS CLEAR

Miami Prince was hot favourite for Heat 3 but he missed the start and found plenty of traffic to finish out of the frame.

Instead, Edermine Bonner went up fastest and largely avoided the opening bend traffic to come home clear. Thomas and Pat O’Gorman’s son of Cushie Jet and Edermine Cooper cruised home five lengths to the good over Flighty in 29.62. Donishallharry was a length further adrift.

LUNA MAKES ALL

Ballybreen Luna (Elite Black/ Ellies Runaway) made all to win the remaining heat for John O’Connor.

She went up fastest to see off Elite Josh by a length in 29.68. There was a three lengths gap to Effernogue Sam in third.
