Ian Fortune
Ian Reilly, Brendan Keogh and Simon Senyk have had many great successes together in the past with some hugely talented trackers.
It seems they have another potential star on their hands with the hugely strong Droopys Have It running out a brilliant, and thoroughly deserving, winner of the valuable Boylesports A3 Bitch 525 decider at Kilkenny on Friday night.
Predictably, Droopys Beta set a strong gallop from five but she was under serious pressure when Droopys Have It began to engage the after burners down the back straight. Last to the opening bend and only fifth into the back straight, the daughter of King Sheeran and Droopys Pickles really flew to the third turn.
She was on the heels of the pace-setters Droopys Beta and Black Bell at this point but had to wait for a gap to appear. But appear it did. With the front two edging off The fence, Droopys Have It shot through the gap to emerge a brilliant winner.
Puling further and further clear, she hit the line with three lengths to spare over Droopy Beta in a rapid 28.71. Black Bell was another length adrift in third. The manner in which Droopys Have It hit the line and powered clear to the pick up would suggest she could be pretty special over an extended trip in the future. Watch this space!
