CARRIGOON MILO WITH A MEMORABLE DEBUT

CARRIGOON MILO WITH A MEMORABLE DEBUT

Peter Farrell

In the midst of all the stake action at Limerick on Saturday, there was a debut of real note after Carrigoon Milo clocked a sensational 28.19 (.10f) in an ON1 contest.

Owned by Noel Casey, Carrigoon Milo arrived with a smart qualifying card after posting 18.90 most recently for the two-bend trip at Limerick. That said, he went to traps at odds of 10/3 with Droopys Pablo sent off as the even money favourite. Drawn in six, ‘Milo’ showed a lovely turn of early speed, however, he found space at a premium early on and was forced to nestle in behind Starson Cashin rounding the opener. Little to separate the pair entering the back, Carrigoon Milo immediately got to work at this point and he quickly excelled into the lead passing the sprint box as he showcased an eye-catching turn of speed. Now in total control, the son of Pestana - Carrigoon Lottie, who has thrown some super trackers in previous litters, soon drew clear of his rivals before crossing the line seven and a half lengths clear of Starson Cashin in second. The time was a blistering 28.19 and this fellow would appear to have a big future ahead of him.
