LONE CALLING (Droopys Sydney-Ballymac Pete), trained by Michael O’Donovan for William Keane, delivered a spectacular performance to win the €4,000 to the winner Casey’s Camping & Caravan Park ON1 Bitch Stake Final at Kilcohan Park on Saturday night.

The 5-4 favourite produced a dream start from trap five and the November puppy just slipped around in front. Both The Other Mel and Droopys Scampi were within touching distance heading down the back straight but the one up front was displaying bundles of speed.
Staying on strongly, the exciting prospect had all the answers as she dug deep throughout and she crossed the winning line in a blistering 28.14, three lengths clear of The Other Mel, with six lengths back to Droopys Scampi in third place.

A great event over the last few weeks, which was sponsored by Dan Casey and no doubt it will produce a couple of brilliant sorts who will win some big events going forward.
