YOUNGSTERS TIM AND TIMMY ENJOY BIG RACE SUCCESS AT CURRAHEEN PARK

Young owner/trainer TIM CLIFFE enjoyed big race success at Curraheen Park as Timmys Rover (Droopys Sydney-Trusted Exile) maintained his unbeaten run in the final of the €2,000 the winner Davy O'Brien Memorial A3 Tri-Distance Stake Final.

A grandson of well-known greyhound man Andy Lynch, this will no doubt be a very sweet victory. A half-brother to recent Birmingham Cup winner, Ivanexile, Timmys Rover is a member of a very exciting litter and he has produced a number of brilliant performances in recent weeks.
Sent off at odds of 5-4 for Saturday night's feature, the race looked over as a contest early on. Producing a great start, Timmys Rover showed all the early pace as he flew around the opening corners in front. After two impressive winning efforts in recent weeks, this went down as another superb display. Showing plenty of all round pace, Timmys Rover came home with six and a half lengths to spare over Berties Cuddles, in 31.41. (575).
IN OTHER RACES
In other races, Churchtown Syd made it back to back wins in the opening semi final of the GoGreyhoundRacing.ie A0/A1 575. Trained by Denis Fitzgerald for owner Mick Crotty, the even money favourite delivered another big performance, beating Strike It Syd, by three lengths, in 31.38.
In the second semi final, Bumpy Frank won with plenty to spare for John Kennedy. Hitting the front midway down the back straight, the 3-1 shot delivered a strong staying performance to land the spoils, 31.29. Three and a half lengths back to Broadstrand Noah.
We expected Parkgate Angel to make all in the A3 and that was very much the case. Trained by Kieran Lynch for Paddy O'Donovan, the 4-5 favourite didn't let supporters down with a 28.87 front running winning display.
Roaming Turbo (Droopys Sydney-Roaming Shari) made it a Kieran Lynch double after the March puppy made a winning debut for Eoin Ivers and Fintan Lawlor. The 4-6 favourite had caught the eye in qualifying after delivering a sensational 28.18 and the hugely exiciting youngster had to overcome plenty of trouble in running to make a 28.82 winning debut.
Lynch didn't have to wait long for the treble, in the following race, Butterbridge Ivy was another to show plenty of early pace when winning the A2, in 29.06. In the ownership of Diarmud Lynch, the early paced winner held the fast finishing Footfield Siren, by a length.
