HUGE BOOST FOR IRISH GREYHOUND RACING AS MATCHBOOK BETTING EXCHANGE ANNOUNCE RENEWAL OF IRISH ST. LEGER AT LIMERICK

Irish Greyhound Racing received another welcome boost today with the announcement that Matchbook Betting Exchange have renewed their sponsorship of the Irish St. Leger at Limerick Greyhound Stadium for 2022

This of course follows on from the inaugural sponsorship by Matchbook Betting Exchange of the Irish St. Leger in 2021, which was won on that occasion in terrific style by the Liam Dowling-owned Ballymac Merlin. Indeed, Matchbook were rewarded for their generous sponsorship last year with one of the hottest St. Leger’s in recent memory as it saw the likes of rising young stars, Russian Glory and Part Blake came to the fore, while the final itself also boasted previous Classic winners in the shape of English Derby winner Deerjet Sydney, and Corn Cuchullain champion Priceless Jet.

This year’s renewal of the Matchbook Betting Exchange Irish St. Leger will run from Saturday, 12th November to Saturday, 10th December and the Classic will carry a first-place prize fund of €30,000.
