Trainer Patrick Guilfoyle landed 1-2 in the feature at Curraheen Park on Saturday night as Scaglietti got the better of Magical Mary in the final of the €3,750 to the winner Two Wheel Training Open 575

In the ownership of Cheryl Sutcliffe, Scaglietti produced a fantastic start from the middle of the track and he flew around the opening corners in front. Hot favourite Magical Mary got it wrong at the traps, but she did show plenty of pace to get around in second. The one in front was always going to take plenty of catching and the pacey performer maintained a powerful gallop throughout.

Both the front two ran superb races, but it was Scaglietti who came out in front as he beat Magical Mary, by a length and a half, in 31.21. A length and a half back in the staying on Ballyhimikin Leo in third place.

Trainer Kieran Lynch took the opening heat with Butterbridge Boy. The 3-1 shot took control early and he pulled right away to win in style. Footfield Siren was running on well late on, but five and a half lengths back, in 28.84. A length back to Glanmire Fox in third place.

MADE EVERY YARD
Early pace was rewarded in the second heat as Filibustor came away racing and the 3-1 winner made every yard of the running for Ned Kerrisk.

A 28.87 winning performance, a length and a half clear of the running on Shonas Marshall. Half a length back to Rural Bocko in third place.

JUST MADE THE CORNER
Galloping Tulip overcame the wide draw to win heat three.

Trained by Pat Creed for owner Una Creed, the 9-4 winner just made the corner in front and she went on to score, in 28.94. Naughty Naughty ran well in second, five and a half lengths back, with a length back to Broadstrand Ray in third.

BACK TO WINNING WAYS
Russmur Pat, trained by James O'Rourke for owner Jeremiah Murphy, returned to winning ways in heat four.

The 2-1 winner pulled out all the stops in the closing stages to fend off the challenge of Millridge Blake. A length the margin, in 28.88, with a length and a half back to Our Dog Molly in third.

5-1 OUTSIDER
In the fifth heat, it was Millhouse who came home in front for owners Donal Wall and John Coakley.

The 5-1 outsider tracked leader Couldn't Say early on, but the strong finisher was well on top in the closing stages. Two lengths the margin, with seven lengths back to As It Was in third place.

STAYING POWER
In the sixth and final heat, Ballyhimikin Rex showed plenty of staying power when coming from off the pace to score.

Owned by Billy and John Dunne, the 3-1 winner did his best running from halfway as he powered to a 28.93 winning performance. Three lengths back to Priceless King, with a length back to Lynchy Boy in third.

MADE ALL
In the closing race, an AA0/AO, it was Millridge Bobby who scored for Donal O'Mahony.

The 3-1 winner made just about all the running to land the spoils, in 28.92.

MAURA O'DONOVAN MEMORIAL 550

Danish Miracle impressed when winning the €500 Maura O'Donovan Memorial 550.

The July youngster looks a very exciting youngster with a really bright future ahead.
