Mullingar, Ireland - February 13, 2024 - The anticipation is building as the 2024 Irish Cesarewitch gears up to showcase an exhilarating new format, promising two runs for a first prize of €10,000. This Classic event, hosted at Mullingar Greyhound Stadium, will see 36 greyhounds vie for victory, with the six heat winners advancing to the final showdown on St Patrick’s Day.
With a total prize fund of €20,000, this year's Irish Cesarewitch, the winner of the final will not only secure the prestigious title but also walk away with a cash prize of €10,000 along with a commemorative trophy.
In addition to the grand prize, the competition carries a second-place prize of €3,500, the third-place secures €2,000, and remaining finalists taking home €1,000 each. Furthermore, a consolation final will be held, ensuring that all competitors have the opportunity to showcase their talent on the track.
The action kicks off with the first round on Sunday, March 10th, marking the beginning of what promises to be an electrifying series of races.
