It’s with tremendous sadness we must report the passing of a real greyhound enthusiast and regular visitor to the track, Jerry Dunne.
Jerry was a gentle soul, a great character and was widely known within the sport.
His unexpected passing on Sunday will come as a real shock to his friends and his loving family.
Jerry, who hailed from Kilkenny, loved the sport and those involved and would be regularly seen in good company at both Kilkenny and Shelbourne Park. A popular figure that always seemed to have a smile on his face, he will be sadly missed by those that knew him and were lucky enough to call him a friend.
We would likely to send on our condolences to his wife and best friend Gillian, his children Barry and Kiera, his parents Jimmy and Mary, brothers Alex and Jimmy Jnr, his extended family and many friends. May he Rest In Peace.
