Trainer Derek Kehoe was in top form at Youghal last on Monday night, the Thurles based handler recording a brilliant four timer.
It all started in the third of the night, Slaneyside Tracy making the most of a great draw to win the A3. In front before the opening corner, soon clear, the well-backed 5-4 favourite was then all out to hold the fast-finishing Boherash Michael, by two lengths, in 29.46.
In the following race, an A2, Slaneyside Maisy made it two on the night at odds of 5-1. Hollyhilll Raven made most of the running, but the winner pulled out all the stops in the closing stages to get the verdict, by a head, in 29.24.
Two races later, in the A6, Slaneyside Twink made all the running to make it back-to-back wins. The 9-4 joint-favourite stopping the clock in 29.85.
The performance of the night came in the seventh, an A0-A1, as Slaneyide Major delivered a spectacular performance to score in 28.80. A really quick start put the 7-2 shot in control early, clocking a top class 17.48 to the third corner, it was always going to take something special to peg him back. Favourite Churchtown Bucks tried hard, but the line came in time. A length and a half the difference.
