Slaneyside Dafoe and Brynofa Jenson ended 2022 as the most prolific greyhounds of the year with 15 wins apiece.
Incredibly, Slaneyside Defoe was only mid-pack heading into December but managed to win four times during the month, including his last three starts, to top the list.
Derek Kehoe’s son of Good News and Slaneyside Cool was kept very busy, running a total of 62 times in the twelve-month period.
In contrast, Brynoffa Jenson had a far greater strike rate winning 15 of his 34 starts in 2022. He too had to finish with a real flourish to top the list, winning his last three starts of the year for Eamon and Hannah Mackey.
Huge congrats must go to those connected to Slaneyside Defoe and Brynoffa Jenson. Both greyhounds were clearly happy with life through the year and no doubt they will be adding to their impressive career tally in the coming weeks.
Just behind the pair on the list with 14 wins were Outback Annie for Jerry Griffin and Mike Corry, while Kirby Memorial winner Swords Rex also racked up an impressive 14 wins.
