The Gold Cup gets underway at Shelbourne Park next weekend and it will carry a new sponsor’s title following the news that Paddy Kehoe has stepped into a back the early season showpiece.
The Paddy Kehoe Suspended Ceilings Gold Cup will feature many of Ireland’s very finest trackers and should provide some exceptional racing through February and early march.
Of course, Paddy Kehoe, who hails from Glynn in Wexford, has been a regular visitor to the greyhound tracks of Ireland for decades but is perhaps better known for his exploits in horseracing as the owner of so many talented horses through the years. In recent times, he has tasted plenty of success with his Princess Zoe, who amongst the most popular race mares in training.
No doubt Paddy will be journeying to Cheltenham in March but, before then, he will no doubt make a number of visits to Shelbourne Park. It is wonderful to see him getting involved in the famous competition and, on behalf of all involved in the sport, we thank him. The Paddy Kehoe Suspended Ceilings Gold Cup will commence next Saturday, February 4th.
