REALLY GOOD RACING AT CURRAHEEN PARK

The Two Wheel Training Open 575 semi-finals produced two fantastic winners in Curraheen Park on Saturday night.

Ballyhimikin Leo put on a top class performance in the opening heat for trainer Graham Holland and owners Billy and John Dunne. The 7-2 shot showed massive all round pace as he finished off well to land the spoils, in a really quick, 30.94. Ringbella Boy ran well for second, two and a half lengths back, with Magical Mary a further two and a half lengths back in third place.

LOCAL RAIDER
Local raider Churchtown Syd came home in front in the second semi final for trainer Denis Fitzgerald and owner Mick Crotty.

The 5-2 winner is such a powerful runner and once again, he showed big finishing speed when getting on top in the closing stages. A 31.24 winning performance, two lengths clear of Ballinacarriga, with two lengths back to Scaglietti in third place.

CURRAHEEN PARK SUPPORTERS CLUB
Race three was sponsored by Eamonn Morton, Terry Killick and the Curraheen Park Supporters Club.

With €500 to the winner of the A6/A7 contest, it was the Pat Norris trained Dealmaker who came out in front. Owned by the We-Go-At-It-Again-Syndicate, the 4-7 favourite sat second for most of the journey, but the winner was in front where it mattered as the June puppy kept on best to land the spoils, in 28.88. Kanturk Range three quarters of a length back in second place.
