SUNSHINE DREAM GOES QUICKEST IN SEMI FINALS OF THE ERIC BROWNE MEMORIAL KINGDOM DERBY

SUNSHINE DREAM went quickest in the semi-finals of the Eric Browne Memorial Kingdom Derby in Tralee on Friday night.

In the ownership of Brid Maunsell, the 2-1 favourite produced a flying start to lead early but he was soon passed by Burgess Darcy. Back in front before the final corner, the in-from Sunshine Dream kept on best to land the spoils, beating the fast finishing Ballymac Bailey, by two and a half lengths, in 28.26. A smashing performance from the winner who will head into the final as a leading player.

FINN IMPRESSIVE AFTER A SLOW START
Liam Dowling's Ballymac Finn just did enough to hold off kennelmate Ballymac Bronze in the second semi final.

After missing the kick, the even-money favourite then showed massive speed and he was in front soon after the second corner.  Ballymac Bronze delivered a strong challenge, but Finn pulled out loads to win, by a neck, in 28.54. Two and a half lengths back to Burgess Rapid in third.
