Barry Clancy has been keeping good company in recent years, but 2023 was a tremendous year for the owner/handler/breeder.

Our own Barry Caul was down there in recent days following the news that his bitch Black Bridges had a litter of five to Good Cody.

Barry Clancy is the whelp them down and Caul couldn’t be happier, stating “Barry’s [Clancy] facilities are second to none, he’s a top fella and a top trainer. He has room for a couple of good ones. Hopefully one or two of mine will be just that.”

Indeed, Barry’s ‘Innfield’ prefix has become a notable one around the tracks of Ireland, but Shelbourne Park in particular. He has bought in some very well-bred youngsters over the last couple of years and deserves every bit of success that comes his way. Hopefully, we’ll see a few more from the Innfield operation making a splash in 2024.
