CHATTER TOO STRONG IN CARROLL MEMORIAL

CHATTER TOO STRONG IN CARROLL MEMORIAL

Ian Fortune

There was a tremendous finish to the Eamon and Paddy Carroll Memorial at Dundalk on Saturday night with Mrs Chatter showing great pace and determination to land the valuable prize for Barney Mooney and Martin White.

Predictably, Ardnasool Duffy set a searching gallop up front, going clear from the outside box but his fate was sealed once Mrs Chatter recovered from a tardy start to slip around the field to enter the back straight in third.

The strong running daughter of King Elvis and Vahsel Bay moved second as they approached the third turn. She then set her sights on the leader. By the final turn, Mrs Chatter was on the heels of Ardnasool Duffy and she powered past to secure success.

Mineola Silver also ran on strongly to take second but Mrs Chatter emerged a comfortable length and a half scorer in a quick 28.76. Ardnasool Duffy was another length adrift in third.
