The Greyhound industry lost another great personality in recent days with the news of the sad passing of Ray Murphy, Kinawley, Co. Fermanagh.
Ray was a popular and well-known figure within Northern circles and raced his greyhounds for several decades under the prefix of his townland, ‘Corrakelly’. Ray passed on his love of the sport to his son Paul, who has and continues to serve as Racing Manager at Lifford track.
Everyone within the greyhound industry would like to pass on their deepest condolences to Paul, as well as Ray’s wife Nancy, sons Brian and Sean, daughters Angela, Mary and Sheila, and all the extended family and friends.
May He Rest In Peace
