The annual Ladies Day at Dundalk Stadium, held on July 12th, 2024, was a resounding success, drawing enthusiastic crowds for a day of thrilling racing and exquisite fashion.

Racegoers were treated to a double dose of excitement with an 8-horse race card and a 12-dog greyhound race card. The annual Ladies Day competition also turned heads, with fierce competition for the top prize. Celebrity judges Louise McDonnell, founder of LMD Beauty, and Suzanne Ryan, a renowned milliner, had their work cut out for them in selecting the top five finalists, each of whom received a coveted goodie bag.

After much deliberation, Nicole Mallon, a firefighter from Co. Down, was crowned the lucky winner, taking home a spectacular €3,000 prize. Nicole, thrilled with her victory, remarked, "I haven't been to Dundalk races in over 9 years, and it's even better than I remembered! It's been a fantastic day."

Her winning ensemble, a stunning combination of a vintage hat borrowed from her mother and a high-street two-piece from Zara, proved that style doesn't have to break the bank. The top prize was generously sponsored by The Gift and Art Gallery and The Fairways Hotel.

The crowd enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day, with close-up views of the exciting horse races sponsored by Catherine Allison & Co Solicitors, Protection & Prosperity Financial Services, and PD Lift Trucks. Post-racing entertainment included a lively DJ and Sax band, along with a dynamic performance by the New Fellas duo.

The evening saw the highly anticipated Dundalk International greyhound race, sponsored by Time Greyhound Nutrition. Droopys Mandolin trained by Robert Gleeson, claimed the top prize in front of a roaring crowd, capping off a night of unforgettable racing.
