CLONBRIEN TREATY BACK TO DEFEND HIS IRISH ST. LEGER CROWN

This Saturday will see the opening round heats of the Callaway Pro Am @ Stud Irish St. Leger get underway at Limerick Greyhound Stadium and the draw for the classic was made earlier today
Of the forty-eight strong entries, there was one notable inclusion as back-to-back winner Clonbrien Treaty appeared out of the hat.
Anyone that follows the ‘Riverside Kennels’ on the various social media platforms would have seen a few ‘teasers’ in recent weeks that the two-time Leger winner was returning to action. Indeed, the son of Pestana will come into the event fresh from a stunning 17.40 trial around Cork and he is drawn from his favoured trap six in what is a very winnable heat seven. While it will likely take a few outings for the incredible blue to get back into the swing of things, his inclusion is a notable one as he returns to his beloved Limerick circuit for an attempt at an historic third straight Leger triumph. Of his rivals, Untold Dollar is the standout and he too comes into the event with some serious trials to his name in recent weeks.
In what is sure to be another red-hot renewal, other standout names set to line-out on Saturday are Hello Diego, Kournikova, Ballyhimikin Ben, Daleroad Duke, Faypoint Harvey, Toolmaker Josepe, Hot Wood, Droopys Deploy, Barefoot On Fire and Dashing Toro.
