ALL ABOUT TUONO CHARLIE IN DEADLY KENNELS OPEN 750 FINAL

Tuono Charlie, trained by Sharon Hunt for Paul Dyer, stole the show in Curraheen Park last night as the super talented performer completed a wonderful seven timer with another magnificent front running winning performance in the €5,000 to the winner Deadly Kennels Open 750 at Curraheen Park. 

Showing all of his usual early speed, the well backed 4-7 favourite was in total control early on and he set a serious gallop throughout. Just like recent winning performances, he was always a long way in front and he clocked a stunning 41.25. That’s 10 wins from his last 11 outings and he’s expected to be a major player in all the big staying races in the coming weeks and months. Dagingerbreadman was next best as he stayed on well, nine lengths back in second place.

IMPRESSED

In the fourth, an A0, Bouncing Lad impressed with a fine 28.50 winning display. Trained by Pat O’Connell for the Bouncing-Lad-Syndicate, the 6-4 shot was in an early battle with Dellser Bells and the strong winner pulled out all the stops to land the spoils, in 28.50.

JACK BACK TO BEST

 In the following race, the open sprint, Burgess Jack returned to something near his best with a superb 17.48 winning performance. Sarah Shannon’s dog hit the front early and he pulled right away for an impressive winning run. 

GOING PLACES

 Move Forward looks a greyhound going places and the June youngster clocked 28.68 in the A3. Trained by Denis Fitzgerald for William Horgan, the 4-5 favourite displayed plenty of all round speed when winning with plenty to spare. 

IN OTHER RACES

 In the closing race, Droopys Polish delivered a fine 28.69 winning run when scoring for trainer Johnny Linehan and owners The-Boys-Are-Town-Syndicate. Sent off the 6-4 second favourite, the August puppy made all the running to beat a strong field of runners. (A1). 

 Ballydague Rebel clocked 30.03 in the second semi final of the RCETS A2 550. Trained by Tom O’Neill for the Dusty Notes Syndicate, the even money favourite turned second and once she hit the front, it was game over. A strong stayer, she beat Sportsmans Bar, by seven lengths, in 30.03.

 In the opening semi final, Southwind Aki scored for trainer James Kelleher and owner David Manning. The 5-1 shot powered from halfway to win, in 30.05, four lengths clear of Churchtown Syd.
