IT PAYS TO HAVE FAITH AT NEWBRIDGE

The Maginn family had a night to remember at Newbridge on Friday evening as they recorded a wonderful double which was highlighted by the display of Tullymurry Faith as she continued her rapid rise up the ranks with a wonderful success in the final of the Brownstown Tango & NTSC Open Unraced Bitch 525.

It really was a great night at the Kildare venue with a number of Newbridge Track Supporters Club finals up for decision but the undoubted star was the aforementioned Tullymurry Faith as she emerged a deserving winner for owner Eamon Maginn.

Trained by Damien Maginn, Tullymurry Faith had shown real promise through the early rounds of the competition and seemed perfectly positioned on the outside of the track to take advantage. The layers didn’t agree with Ballymac Snazzy starting favourite despite a tricky draw in five.

It was actually Burgess Josie that set the pace from three but she was followed closely by Tullymurry Faith. Ballymac Snazzy looked set to turn a close third but he was clipped from behind on the bend, which left the front two clear of their rivals.

The order remained the same into the back straight but Tullymurry Faith was always close enough to mount a decisive challenge and the daughter of Droopys Sydney and Droopys Ring duly started to close the gap to the third turn.

Joining the pace-setter on the final turn, Tullymurry Faith eased on up the run in to score by two lengths in a fastest of the night 28.61. Burgess Josie took the runners-up spot while there was a further five and a half-length gap to the fast-finishing Forest Diamond in third.     

NANCY INITIATES A MAGINN DOUBLE

The final of the NTSC A6/A7 Dual Distance saw the big two in the market Tullymurry Nancy and Aheadofdaposse come to the fore.

The latter broke fastest and held a narrow lead into the turn over Tullymurry Nancy.

The pair continued to battle it out up front down the back straight with Aheadofdaposse holding a narrow lead but Tullymurry Nancy made a big move on the third turn. Joining her rival, Damian Maginn’s daughter of Droopys Sydney and Cheltenham Cert quickly moved on before pulling clear on the run in to score by three and a half lengths in 30.62.

MAGIC HAS THE POWER

Aayamza Magic was fully expected to come home clear in the final of the NTSC A2/A3 Dual Distance over 600yds and he certainly didn’t disappoint.

Trained by Robert Gleeson for the Ayamzaboys Syndicate, the son of Laughil Blake and Carefree Grace had little more than a solo.

Taking charge in the early yards, the August ’20 whelp moved further and further clear to emerge a comfortable eight and a half length scorer in 32.94. Supportingsheedy came through for second.

HOLLYWELL THE HERO

The well-bred Hollywell Hero did what was needed to win the Newbridge Track Supporters A4/A5 525 decider.

Alison Coxon’s son of Ballymac Vic and Ballydoyle Honey was sharper than his rivals in the early yards, hitting the front before the corner and he proceeded to make all for a length and a half victory in 29.10.
