QUALITY ON OFFER AT KILKENNY SALES

Saturday’s sales catalogue at Kilkenny is one of real quality. There are a number of well-bred unraced youngsters and good quality graders on offer.

Of the 60 lots, 43 are unraced and 56 are March ‘20 whelps or younger.

In fact, the first 40 lots are all July ’20 or younger. Some of the unraced entries include Puckane Burgess (Burgess Bucks/ Droopys Cutey), who is only a December ’20 whelp and qualified in 29.59 around Kilkenny. Sirius Jo (Magical Bale/ Sirius Fantasy) is an October ’20 whelp who qualified in 16.78 around Kilkenny. Starlight Times, a September ‘20 son of Ballymac Best and Shady Pam, qualified in 29.38 at Newbridge, while another September whelp Glideaway Spiral (Magical Bale/ Glideaway Pearly) qualified in 29.41 at Kilkenny.

Those with race experience include the open racer Vivaro Blaze who recently won at Clonmel in 28.63. Silverhill Alish won her last race around Newbridge in 29.05, while Silverhillrachel won her last race in Newbridge in 29.16. Milestone Hestia has won a race at Kilkenny in 29.20.

All in all, it’s a top-class catalogue. Given the success of the previous sales, and the subsequent success of those that have gone through the ring, this latest meeting should prove popular with buyers.
