GRI LAUNCHES TENDER FOR GREYHOUND CARE CENTRES

As part of its ongoing commitment to finding a forever home for retired Irish greyhounds, Rásaíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ) / Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) are calling for expressions of interest in running greyhound care centres.

The care centre programme was initiated in 2020, as part of a significant care and welfare programme rolled out by RCÉ/GRI in conjunction with the Irish Retired Greyhound Trust (IRGT).

It is RCÉ/GRI’s intention to expand the care centre programme in 2023 with the addition of new centres strategically located around the country. Rehoming of retired greyhounds has encountered many challenges and in 2022 a number of significant world events arose which augmented these challenges.

RCÉ/GRI recognise that economic inflation has impacted all facets of Irish life and this tender will allow people willing to do this important work to be duly rewarded for their efforts.

Rásaíocht Con Éireann/Greyhound Racing Ireland welcomes tender expressions from any and all interested parties.
