BALLYMAC MARINO (Vulturi-Jamaica Joy) made it four wins from as many starts when running out a sensational winner of the €11,000 to the winner Greyhound & Petworld Juvenile Classic at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Saturday night.
Trained by Liam Dowling for the Metinthehalfway-Syndicate, the June youngster is such an exciting youngster and this was another smashing display. The even-money favourite produced a flying start and once he led around, it was always going to take something special to reel him in.
Terezas Mendoza was chasing hard down the back straight and she did get within a length at the third corner. However, Ballymac Marino is really strong and he really does power up the home straight. Most impressive in recent weeks, the winner saved his quickest performance for the feature final, clocking an outstanding 28.09 and beating Terezas Mendoza by three and a half lengths. Six lengths back to Saleen Ollie in third place. It was another fantastic event this year and we look forward to following the form throughout the year ahead.
