TROUBLE BACK TO TOP FORM IN CORK CUP FINAL

Trained by Kieran Lynch for owners the Memphis-Mafia-Syndicate, Trouble ran out a brilliant winner of the €4,500 Time Greyhound Nutrition Cork Cup at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.
The 5-4 market leader made full use of the inside draw as he just slipped around in front. Showing a lovely injection of pace on the back straight, Trouble quickly took full control as he slipped three lengths clear of Galloping Tulip with Shonas Marshall also on the premises. Back to top form in the feature, the impressive winner made no mistakes as he kept on strongly throughout and he came home with a length and a half to spare over Galloping Tulip, in 28.47. Shonas Marshall a neck behind the runner up in third place.
GALLOPING GOES FAST
Reserve runner Galloping Sydney delivered a sensational performance in race three.
Trained by Graham Holland for owner Una Creed, the 1-2 favourite made the most of a great opportunity. He missed a beat early, but he showed massive pace to lead around the opening corners. Showing bundles of pace up front, the classy sort stopped the clock, in 28.12, four and a half lengths clear of Millridge Byrce. (AA0).
HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO ALAN BRICKLEY
The Happy 21st Birthday to Alan Brickley in association with the Curraheen Park Supporters Club went the way of 5-4 favourite Caumrue Lemon.
Owned by TJ Lyons (Pic below), the consistent youngster ran out a smart winner, clocking 30.25 for the 550-yards.
IN OTHER RACES
Runninta Shay made a winning return to racing action in race 11. Trained by Johnny Linehan for owners the Runninta Syndicate, the 5-4 favourite made the opening corner in front, pulling clear on the back straight, he proved three and a half lengths clear of the running on Super Hit Man, in 28.62. (A0).
In race eight, AA0, Liosgarbh Lila, for the McLoughney-Family-Syndicate, impressed with an outstanding front winning display. The 6-4 shot returned to winning ways in 28.33. It was all one way traffic upfront as the talented lady recorded a fourth career success.The improving Lads Panther took the night, an A1/A1 575, in 31.30. Mary Mackey's youngster just got the better of Outdoor Rainbow in a fantastic contest. The 2-1 winner just getting the verdict by the shortest of margins,
Racing concluded with a winning return to form from Cluain Rapid. In the ownership of Daniel and Tom Cronin, the 2-1 winner turned in front, Ballyhimikin Rex looked a big danger heading down the back straight, but the dropped in class winner had all the answers as he dug deep up the home straight. A 31.40 winning performance, a length and a half clear of the Ballyhimikin runner.
