ALL ABOUT BALLYBOY DEME IN CURRAHEEN FEATURE

It was all about BALLYBOY DEME in the final of the €1,700 to the winner Dan & Sheila Buckley Memorial A2 final at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.

Trained by David Harrington for owner Jerry O'Brien, the 3-1 shot delivered a career-best performance in the feature final. Showing massive early pace to lead from trap five, the classy winner was always in control upfront. In top gear throughout, it was noted as a top-class winning performance as the son of Laughil Blake and Miniconjou cruised to a three-length success, in 28.28. Bartlemy Jas ran well for second, three lengths clear of Giddyupgonzo who was back in third.

DEADLY KENNELS OPEN 750

Ballybough Champ went quickest on the clock in the opening round of the Deadly Kennels Open 750.

Trained by Murt Leahy for Pat Carroll, the 7-2 shot broke well but it was Ballymac Kurtis who set a strong early gallop up front. Producing a really strong finish to land the spoils, Ballybough Champ came home with a neck to spare over the running on Magical Poppy, in 42.09. Just half a length back to Tinnock Solis in third place.

STRONG DISPLAY

In the opening heat, Bogger Megan put on a strong display to win, in 42.19.

 Liam Peacock's lady ran on strongly to beat Ballycowen Luka. A four length success, in 42.19, with a length and a half back to Saleen Naomi in third.

BACK TO WINNING FORM

In the second heat, Burnchurch Best impressed with a front running winning run, clocking 42.44 for trainer Michael O'Donovan and owner Michael Cullen.

The 5-2 winner bounced straight back to winning form with a fine all the way victory. Almighty Paddy best of rest, a length and a half back in second with a further length back to Jacktavern Bella in third.
