EXPLOSIVE BOY TO MISS TOWCESTER

2021 Dog of the Year Explosive Boy is set to miss the Star Sports/ TRC English Derby after the news broke yesterday that he had suffered a small training setback which would keep him out of action for a couple of weeks.

It comes as a real shame as the brilliant son of Good News had already flown around the Derby venue in a trial and was firmly established as the favourite for outright honours. The 2021 Race of Champions and Produce Stakes winner had recently shown his well-being with a superb success in the Waterford Select Stakes and his absence from the competition comes as a real blow.

Thankfully, he will be back in action very soon and one assumes the Boylesports Irish Derby will now become his prime target.
