Ian Fortune
Things could have gone considerably better for Ireland in the second round of the Star Sports & TRC Derby as we lost over half our remaining challengers.
In all seventeen Irish finished out of the frame, while Fernandes was a non-runner.
There were Irish trained six winners, however, while fourteen Irish will be in the hat for the third round draw.
With 14 of the final 48 still representing Ireland, hopes remain high that the trophy will be coming back across the Irish Sea on June 25th. The draw for Saturday’s third round will be made tomorrow afternoon and hopefully it will work out well for those remaining.
