MASSIVE CROWD TURN UP FOR ST FINBARRS GAA FUNDRAISING NIGHT

A massive crowd turned up at Curraheen Park on Saturday night as St Finbarrs GAA held a very successful fundraising night. 

On the track, there were some top-class performances as the opening round of the Deadly Kennels Open 750 got underway.

Tuono Charlie, trained by Sharon Hunt for Paul Dyer, set the standard with a magnificent 41.57 winning performance. In superb form in recent months, the classy tracker was recording five straight wins and he's now won eight of his last nine outings. Flying from traps, the even-money favourite put on another stunning front-running winning run. A comfortable success once more as he beat Colossal Venture, by seven and a half lengths, in 41.57.

In the opening heat, Orchid Queen impressed with a really nice performance. Nathan Moloney's lady was always within touching distance early and she kept on best to land the spoils late on. A 41.92 winning run, three lengths clear of Hanover Phantom. 

In the following heat, Dagingerbreadman was a good winner for trainer Paul Hennessy and owner Cian Gleeson. The 5-4 favourite displayed plenty of all-round speed and he pulled away late on to beat Dazl Twink Babe, by six and a half lengths, in 41.80.

Aherla Rocco delivered a fine front-running winning display to win the third heat for Jerome Crowley. The 4-1 shot was in front early on and he kept finding up front as he got the better of Fashion Model, by a length and a half, in 41.98. 

In the 11th, an A0, Daleroad Duke returned to winning ways when he scoring for trainer Patrick Guilfoyle and owner Thomas O'Keeffe. The even-money favourite clocked 28.23 when beating Ballyhimikin Rex, by three and a half lengths. 

In the fourth, Butterbridge Roy made it five wins on the bounce for trainer Kieran Lynch and owner Mark O'Shea. The 4-5 favourite flew from traps to make all the running, in 28.48, two lengths clear of Dellser Bells.
