LINCOLN LEGACY was the star of the show in Curraheen Park on Saturday night as the exciting April youngster delivered a high-class winning performance in race number 10, an AA0 event.
A recent finalist in the RPGTV Puppy Oaks decider at Shelbourne Park, the 6-4 second favourite quickly bounced back to winning ways with a stunning effort. The daughter of Droopys Sydney and Nemesis produced a quick start and the talented youngster took control before the opening corner. Powering down the back straight, the impressive winner pulled a country mile clear of her opposition and in truth, it was all one-way traffic at the head of affairs. Keeping on well from the turns for home, Lincoln Legacy ran out an outstanding winner, clocking 28.30 and proving six and a half lengths too strong for Bartlemy Sile who was back in second placed.
ANOTHER TO IMPRESS
Lads Bluebell was another to impress when winning the closing race for Mary Mackey.
A powerful performer with top-class form over further, the 4-1 shot clocked a fantastic 28.34 when beating Faypoint Susie, by five and a half lengths. Hitting the front around halfway, the strong running winner clocked sensational finishing sectionals when returning to winning ways.
YOUNGSTER GOING PLACES
Rosebank Max is a youngster going places after another big winning effort in the seventh, the €1,000 to the winner A3 stake.
It was Cullane Cross who set the early fractions, but the Patrick Manning-owned runner, a 3-1 shot, had enough early to slip around in second place. Much the strongest from halfway, the January puppy kept finding upfront as he ran out a four-length winner over Rockforest Peg, in 28.52.
***Another massive crowd at Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium on Saturday night.
The place was absolutely packed and rocking for a benefit night for Enniskeane Camogie Club and I’d say they raised massive funds.
Two big fundraising nights over the next two weeks which are for Ballincollig GAA and the Cork Camogie team. A fantastic way of raising funds for your club.
Huge credit must go to Brian Collins and all of his team at Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium.
