CRAFTY SHIVOO (Droopys Sydney-Ballymac Sanjose) delivered a paw perfect display to win the €30,000 to the winner Bar One Racing in association with the Friends & Supporters of Cork Greyhound Racing Irish Greyhound Laurels at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.
Despite horrible weather conditions, a massive crowd turned up at Curraheen Park and it was a night of brilliant action and entertainment. A star of the event over the last couple of weeks, Crafty Shivoo, trained by Pat Norris for the M W D Partnership, saved her very best performance for the feature final.
In a race to the opening corner with Romeo Taylor, the well backed even money favourite drove a brave and fabulous opening bend to slip around in front. From there, it looked game over and the 2023 Irish Oaks Champion quickly put the race to bed. Always in control, the impressive winner displayed massive pace throughout and she clocked a magnificent 28.52 in horrible conditions which was a remarkable run. Crafty Shivoo also became the first bitch to win the Laurels in over 30 years.
A special night for the Norris family with great celebrations. Hazelhill Bucko was another to run a big race for young trainer Lucy Roche, four and a half lengths back in second. The same distance back in third was Romeo Taylor.

Opening up on the back straight, Dynamic Force was soon clear and it was a battle against the clock up front. A powerful winning run, clocking 28.77 and coming home eight and a half lengths clear of Crockers Sydney.
