It was only in recent days Grouchos Duke got a mention on this very page as one of the greyhounds to make a memorable start to his career at Shelbourne Park.

A really top-class tracker through his short racing career, it was no surprise to see that breeders have been drawn to the extremely well-bred son of Grangeview Ten and Mystical Luna given his superb early speed and back straight pace.

Grouchos Duke had his final race when picking up an injury in the English Derby quarter finals but got straight to work soon after. In fact, John Byrne reported that he actually became a dad for the first time in recent days with his first litter coming out of Courty Girl, a top racer herself. The litter of three dogs and two bitches are said to be doing great and it could be just the start for Grouchos Duke. We look forward to seeing his progeny hitting the track in late 2025.
