Following the news that Bernard Barry is to sponsor the Christmas Oaks with an enhanced winner’s purse, the upcoming Puppy Oaks has been given the same treatment with new sponsor Gourmet Island coming on board.

Plunkett Matthews is the man behind Gourmet Island and his generous sponsorship means the winner’s prize will be doubled from last year’s €5,000 to a whopping €10,000. It’s a tremendous prize for a competition that could develop into a serious affair with some hugely talented ladies after emerging in recent weeks. The Gourmet Island Puppy Oaks is open for November ’22 whelps and younger.
