A BOGGER DOUBLE AT KILKENNY

Liam Peacock sent out a fine double in the opening round of the TIME Greyhound Nutrition & KGOBA A3 525 at Kilkenny on Friday night with Bogger Pro and Bogger Tommy both obliging.

Incidentally, the duo clocked an identical 29.12 to set the standard in the valuable stake.

Bogger Pro was first into action in Heat 2. Tracking Bogger Skimpy into the back straight, he would make his move into the third turn. Going to the front on the outside of the early leader, the son of Callaway Pro Am and Bogger Megan eased on to win by five lengths from Bogger Skimpy in 29.12.

TOMMY SHARPEST

Bogger Tommy (Glengar Bale/ Bogger Ophelia) won in straightforward fashion, showing fine early dash to lead into the turn.

He would repel the challenge of Jims Gem into the third bend before going on to win by two lengths. Jims Gem would rally to finish second.

JAX FASTEST OF THE REMAINDER

Next fastest was Blackrose Jax as she made all to win the penultima heat for Eric Cantillon and Gearoid O’Brien.

The son of Dromana Bucko and Blackrose Tanya would hold off the challenge of Ratchies Wolfe by a half length in 29.18.

Priceless Jose would also win from the front in the final heat. Representing Paul Hennessy and Bryan and Kathleen Murphy, the home-bred son of Priceless Jet and Priceless Opera would break smartly to dominate in a two length victory over Burnchurch Elle in 29.19.

Noirs Ben stayed on well to win Heat 3 for the Ponies To Pups Syndicate and trainer Shaun Conway. The son of Good News and Noirs Lottie was slightly outpaced into the turn as Buster Eight charged clear but the latter would cramp up in the closing stages.

In contrast, Noirs Ben would improve his position to go second into the third turn before staying on well to assert at the final turn. He would ease on to beat Da Don by four lengths in 29.21.

Andrew Lynch was on the mark with Pretty Exile in Heat 4. A daughter of Broadstrand Bono and Glowing Exile, she was too sharp for her rivals to the turn and would make virtually all to beat Swift Saver by four lengths in 29.42.
