BOYLE SPORTS ANNOUNCED AS TITLE SPONSOR OF LIFFORD OAKS

Greyhound racing in the North West of Ireland received a major boost today with the announcement that the Lifford Oaks will make its long-awaited return for the first time in over sixteen years.

Kindly sponsored by BOYLE Sports, who have once again stepped up to the plate for the Irish greyhound industry, the competition boasts a fantastic €10,000 winner’s prize. This lucrative purse is expected to attract the very best bitches from across the country, raising the standard of competition and reaffirming Lifford’s status as one of the sport’s most attractive venues.

Lifford Stadium has a proud history of staging top-class competitions such as the Northwest Derby, the Northwest Champion Stakes, and the Failte 600; however, the revival of the Oaks represents the most prestigious event to take place at the Donegal venue since its reopening in 2023.

The BOYLE Sports Lifford Oaks will be run over the 525-yard trip, commencing on Saturday 18th October, with the grand final set for Saturday, 1st November.

Open to 24 entries, the event will be contested over three thrilling rounds, where bumper crowds are expected to descend on Lifford to witness top-class greyhound racing and enjoy the return of one of the Northwest’s most prestigious stakes. Owners and trainers are now encouraged to get behind what promises to be a standout event.
