SCHOLSEY CHANGES HANDS

SCHOLSEY CHANGES HANDS

Ian Fortune

The hugely talented Carrick Scholsey had his final start for Robert Gleeson and Thomas Glynn on Saturday night with the news confirmed that he has been sold across the water and will join Mike Burton.

Carrick Scholsey first came to prominence when producing a massive debut display in the opening round of the Champion Unraced at Kilkenny. While he made an early exit from that competition, he would go on to capture the €10,000 Summer Cup at Shelbourne Park before stepping up in trip for a crack at the Derby.

After an unlucky exit from the classic, he would reach the final of the Michael Fortune Memorial Derby Plate where he would finish third. A hugely fast son of Droopys Scolari and Droopys Beaufort, he has all the qualities to become a star in the UK and we wish his new connections the very best of luck with their new arrival.
