Greyhound racing lost a great friend in recent days with the sad passing of Joe ‘Bosco’ Gleeson after an illness.
A popular character, he was responsible along with his wife Anna for breeding, rearing and training some top-class greyhound through the years with most carrying the famous ‘Redwood’ refix.
A regular at Newbridge track, he has so often been referred to as a real gentleman in recent days as news of his passing filtered through the sport. A member of An Garda Síochána for much of his working life, he was also a very shrewd man with a racing greyhound.
We would like to take this opportunity to send our sincerest condolences to his loving wife Anna, daughters Carol and Ruth, son Joe, sons in law Nicholas and Stefan, daughter-in-law Emma, grandchildren Harry, Kate and Lucy, brothers, sister, extended family and his many, many friends.
May He Rest In Peace.
