FAYPOINT SEAN (Droopys Sydney-Roaming Shari) (Pic: below left) made it four straight wins in the final of the €2,000 Jack, Mary & Brian Finn Memorial Stake at Curraheen Park on Thursday night.
Not the quickest away, the 2-7 favourite showed lovely early gears down the outside the track and once he slipped around in front, he was in total control. Quickly pulling away on the back straight, the bright prospect was soon a couple of lengths clear of Paradise Brook. The March puppy displayed plenty of all round speed and he went on to beat the eye-catching Aherla Rocko, who finished really well for second, five and a half lengths back, in 28.78. (.10slow). Newinn Finn was a notable non-runner so five went to traps.
FOUR WINS ON THE BOUNCE
In the final of the €1,500 AOS Mechanical Services LTD & CPSC A4 Stake, it was MISSOURI JUMBO (Pic: below right) came out on top, making it four straight wins for Sean Deburca.
The 5-2 shot showed enough early speed to win the all-important early lead and from there, it was all one way traffic at the head of affairs. A superb front running winning performance to beat Another Boxcar, by three and a half lengths, in 29.00.
