Joe ‘Bosco’ Gleeson was part of the furniture at Newbridge. He loved nothing more than putting one into the van and heading to the Kildare venue from his Redwood base.
He sadly passed last October but will be remembered by his many friends this evening as the Bosco Gleeson Memorial A3/A4 525 gets underway.
Kindly sponsored by Bosco’s wife Anna, there is a tremendous entry for the valuable stake. As you would expect for someone as popular at Bosco, there is a great local representation, while the action promises to be very competitive.
There is a combination of experience and inexperience on show with many of the later catching the eye. One such runner is Realising That. A February ’22 whelp, he has won both hi starts to date, showing plenty of ability in the process. He is nominated as the one to beat in Heat 2.
Others that catch the eye include Whyaye Bonnylad, a 28.81 winner at Newbridge on debut, while Rathmoyle Gerry gets the nod in the final heat.
