O’DONNELL PRICED UP FOR DERBY REPEAT

Jennifer O’Donnell is clearly a very special handler, winning the Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby in each of the last two years with litter brothers Born Warrior and The Other Kobe.

Well, the Derby sponsors have been clearly thinking; could she possibly make it three in a row in 2024?

Just days after the victory of The Other Kobe, Boylesports have priced up O’Donnell at 40-1 to complete a near-impossible hat trick. As it happens, she has unleashed some very promising puppies in recent weeks, all from the Droopys Sydney/ Scooby Princess litter.

Could one of these go on to capture the Derby in 2024? Only time will tell but they certainly have ability. Scooby Pacemaker posted a rapid 28.31 in qualifying and could yet develop into a really top-class performer. He is also bred to be a star.

Of course, his sire has been breaking all sorts of records in recent times, while his dam, Scooby Princess, was very special on the track and also happens to be a half-sister to Born Warrior and The Other Kobe.
