THURLES GEARING UP FOR 75TH ANNIVERSARY GALA NIGHT

Those of us who are regular to the various social media platforms would be aware that Thurles Greyhound Stadium will be celebrating an important milestone in the not too distant future.

The Premier venue will be celebrating their 75th Anniversary on Saturday, 28th October and the Tipperary venue are encouraging owners and trainers to get behind a number of upcoming sweepstakes that will run in conjunction with the event.

Entries are currently being accepted for the following:

 *** THE MICK & MARY BOURKE MEMORIAL A4/A5 525 ***

36 greyhounds @ €20 each (Backgraders allowed) 

Winner - €3500 

1st round Saturday, October 7th 

 *** THE €3600 JOHN KENNY (GUNBOAT) MEMORIAL A3 ***

24 greyhounds @ €20 each who must have raced twice prior (NO backgraders)

Winner - €1400 

1st round Saturday, October 14th

In addition, Thurles management have stated that entries are very slow in coming to hand for the upcoming Kasko unraced, which is scheduled to commence on Saturday, 16th September.
