There was more lively trade at the Kilkenny Sales last Saturday with a healthy turnover and high clearance rate. Knockroe Best (Ballymac Best/ Rosmult Racer) fetched the best price of the day after winning his trial in 29.25.

The October ’22 dog, who is a race winner in Thurles, was sold for €3,600. Fastest time of the day was posted by Lacken Pixie. The January ’23 daughter of Burgess Bucks and Lacken Bluebell won her trial in 29.24 and was later sold for €3,000.

Oakfield Pearl (Skywalker Canny/ Oakfield Dancer), a June ’23 unraced bitch, won her trial in 29.74 and was sold for €3,100. Bogger Dyno, a Dec ’22 son of Skywalker Farloe and Bogger Bonnie, won his trial in 29.60 and went for €3,000, while Lemon Rusty, a Jan ’23 unraced son of Ballymac Best and Lemon Ariana, won his trial in 29.52 and was later sold for €2,600.

Other notable sales included Oakfield Grace (€1,850), Rallying Ginger (€1,700), Abigails Oliver (€1,650), Memories Payback (€1,600), Land Cruiser (€1,600) and Jackeen Chick (€1,450).
