HELLO ROSE (Burgess Bucks-Holycross Heidi) came home in front to win Saturday night's feature at Kilcohan Park, the €7,500 to the winner Dave Collins Memorial Munster Oaks.
The 5-1 outsider of five drove a nice opening corner to slip around in a handy position as Legit News was powering along up front. In truth, it looked race over midway down the back straight as the one in front had displayed stunning speed to open up a big lead, however, that soon changed.
Legit News checked up badly at the second last corner and Hello Rose took full advantage, finishing well and showing bundles of speed, the Liam Mannix-owned runner came home in front for a famous success. A 29.08 winning effort, a length clear of the running on Deelish Nora. Bockos Crystal was a non-runner in the feature final.
CASEY'S CARAVAN & CAMPING PARK ON1 STAKE FINAL
In the €2,000 to the winner Casey's Caravan & Camping Park ON1 Stake Final, it was all about Whitenose Hawk (Droopys Sydney-Powerful Mush) who scored Willie O'Connor. Flying down the outside of the track to just slip around in front, the 5-2 winner was soon chased by Aghaburren Bucko and Droopys Maximus.
The September youngster had all the answers up front, keeping on well and galloping strongly to the line, it went down as an outstanding winning performance, clocking 28.65 and coming home with three lengths to spare over Aghaburren Bucko.
